The Department of Analytical Chemistry was founded since the establishment of the Industrial University of HoChiMinh City. Up to now, the department has trained 11 full-time undergraduate courses, 10 inter-university courses, 16 junior colleges with over 2,000 graduates.  Nowadays the Department of Analytical Chemistry also administers a master program in Analytical Chemistry.

The Department of Analytical Chemistry possesses the system of specialized laboratories with modern analytical equipments such as GC-MS, GC-FID, HPLC, IC, ICP-AES, UV-Vis, IR, etc. Department’s staff is highly qualified teachers: 04 PhDs and 05 Masters with enthusiasm in teaching and research. The staff constantly improves its qualification to meet the social needs in teaching and to provide student with good knowledge, professional ethics and skills.

The graduates from the Department of Analytical Chemistry are highly demanded in industrial laboratories and analytical services of the biggest chemical enterprises of Hochiminh city and local regions.
