The Objectives and Expected Learning Outcomes of the Chemical Engineering Programme

1. The objectives of the Chemical Engineering Programme are as follows:

  1. Assume leadership roles of production process in the field of Chemical Engineering Technology.
  2. Supervise and operate equipment, equipment systems and production processes in the field of Chemical Engineering.
  3. Research and develop the product, process and production technology in the field of Chemical Engineering.
  4. Demonstrate vocational ethics, sense of community development, professional attitude and behavior

2. Expected Learning Outcomes of the Chemical Engineering Programme are as follows:

The graduates of the Chemical Engineering Programme will have:

  1. An ability to apply the knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering in the field of Chemical Engineering;
  2. A knowledge of politics, culture and society to train themselves;
  3. An ability to apply fundamental and specialized knowledge in one of the fields: Petrochemical Engineering, Inorganic Engineering, and Organic Engineering;
  4. An ability to monitor, operate equipment, system and product line in the field of Chemical Engineering;
  5. An ability to calculate, design process units and systems of process units in the field of Chemical Engineering with consideration of environmental, safety, economic, ethical criteria and sustainable development;
  6. An ability to conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret process units and systems of process units;
  7. An ability to work and collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams;
  8. An ability to update knowledge widely enough to understand the impact of technical solutions in the global economic, environmental, social and global context;
  9. An ability to communicate technique effectively;
  10. An understanding of ethical and professional responsibilities;
  11. An ability to engage in lifelong learning;
